About the Instructor: Karen Sandler began studying yoga at the University of Florida in 1983. She has been teaching classes in this modality since 1993 and currently travels nationally and internationally teaching the 200 hour yoga teacher certclassification program. She began her studies of charkas and pranic healing in 1989 and has been instructing classes in this modality since 1996. As an instructor for the Florida College of Natural Health, she also taught clinical massage, shiatsu, reflexology, and aromatherapy.
About the Class: Prana is the vital life force energy which pervades all of existence. This energy travels through the nadies and is channeled to different parts of the body via the Chakra System. In this course we will learn the basic skills to feel channel and direct this pervasive energy. As the chakra system is balanced, it creates balance on the physical level. This energy work allows you, as the therapist, to offer therapeutic treatment to your client which does not require physical effort from you. Studies have shown that yoga postures create flexibility in the body while strengthening and toning the muscle tissue. Yoga balances the endocrine system, energizes the chakras and detoxifies the internal organs. Energetically, the breathing techniques harmonize the prana or life force energy that flows through our bodies. Incorporating these techniques into your massage treatments will enhance your practice and bring vibrant health to your clients.

In this weekend course we will learn:
*The correlation between the physical body and the chakra energy system.
*Cleansing techniques to purify the aura, charkas and organs for yourself and client.
. *Techniques to energize and recharge yourself and your clients.
*Step by step healing techniques for different systems of the body.
*Simple and powerful breathing techniques.
*Self decontamination and recharging.
*A variety of yoga postures
*How to use Mudras (hand positions) to channel prana
What to bring: Massage table, spray bottle of water with some alcohol, thick magic markers or crayons, yoga mat, dress in clothes suitable for yoga class.
